Fire

To say Fire is the "burning issue" in the Top End today is not being funny, it is the most serious issue facing many areas, especially our wildlife!

Fire is one of the most complex and important issues in the wet / dry tropics. It is an integral part of the ecological processes that take place here. On the Australian continent many plants and animals are well adapted to fire, with some species requiring fire or smoke as part of their lifecycle.
