Bining Kinship System

The Kinship system as it is called is a core foundation that determines how Aboriginal people view their world.  it is an extensive classification system that covers people, land and living things and your position in this sytem is inherited from your parents, essentially you fathers 'skin' which defines him within this regime.  A part of this is the Dhuwa / Yirritja moiety system which also fits the wildlife into the system and defines a range of relationships between people and wildlife as well as land and other people.
