Bush Tucker

Aboriginal people have lived in the Top End for a very long time, probably more than 60,000 years and during that time have developed a very sophisticated knowledge system about the plants and animals that allowed them to flourish as a people and develop such rich cultures.

There were many different clans with their own land estates, their own languages and knowledge systems tuned to the local area.  Their knowledge and use of foods is one small fragment of this knowledge system. The Limilgan-wulna people lived in the area between the Adelaide River and the Western Kakadu area.
